What's being confirmed more and more now is that Iran has been successful in taking out several of our radars in the region including some of the THAAD radars. We don't have a lot of those. They are expensive and take a long time to build.
Obviously nothing's been publicly confirmed by the DoD but the satellite imagery is out.
Likely drone attacks, most likely some sort of low flying stealthy drone. I can guarantee you we've got a lot of people trying to figure out how to mitigate.

If Iran were smart they'd launch those missiles at refineries in the region. They're not going to beat us or Israel head to head. The only way is for them to wait us out and inflict as much economic damage as possible. I hope we have thought of this. And countering massive waves of drones targeting the same industry.
Honest question, who related to the regime is going to be left if their plan is to wait this out? I don't know who takes power next but I find it unlikely to be anyone related to the past regime. I would anticipate the power shift is going to start 50 years of pent up reprisal killings.

And a lot of rumors now circulating it as Azerbaijan may become directly involved. They are supported by Israel and Turkey, despite Israel and Turkey hating each other. Armenia, Iran, and Russia have good relationships but the US is probably more on the side of Armenia in that fight.
What a weird world we live in.

Russia and, at least tokenly the US, have supported Armenia. Israel and Turkey support Azerbaijan. Iran supports Armenia to the extent that they hate Azerbaijan as Iran has always viewed Azerbaijan is a threat to their north due to the significant Azerbaijani minority in Northern Iran. The Armenia/Azerbaijan conflicts over the last few decades have been a product of the global fingers protruding in the region.
If Azerbaijan enters the conflict it could get a bit more complicated. I don't think Turkey would get involved either way. Erdogon dies not want to support Israel or be seen by their public as supporting Israel.

I don't know the answer to that but I'm sure there are plenty of bad players left in Iran. I'm mainly just comparing how hard it was for Israel to finally clear out Gaza and that is a small piece of land. I'm afraid there will have to be boots on the ground to ultimately clear it out. I'm not a fan of sending US boots on the ground to Iran. Let Israel do it.

So much for the rats making a run for it.
Yes, recent reports confirm it. Bloomberg and i24NEWS state Saudi Arabia has intensified direct diplomatic engagement and backchannel talks with Iran to de-escalate the ongoing Middle East conflict involving US/Israel strikes and Iranian retaliation. Talks involve diplomats and…
