Give me a little help in my thought process here. We are now just bludgeoning them and breaking their will. The theocracy it seems is and was just a facade for the ruling class to become rich. A real theocratic regime would have some staying power due to the majority of the populace having buy in to what they were doing.
It seems here that the vast majority of everyday Iranians are not the zealots or under educated peasants that we faced in Iraq or Afghanistan. Could a contingent of special forces orchestrate a popular uprising of which there already seems to have and be happening to allow for a regime change?
This for some reason feels different than Iraq and Afghanistan. It also seems that Iran was a catalyst for the insurgency in Iraq. As Pakistan was a facilitator for the Taliban in Afghanistan. Who is going to cultivate and sustain an insurgency in Iran?
Just trying to think about this logically with the facts at hand.
Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022
