I think it would be good for the club to win a trophy, and would presumably mean some of the guys got some more good competitive experience.
If the winner still got a Europa League berth, that's obviously be important to lock up. Now winner gets conference league which I guess would still mean more money and more experience for guys than no European tournament at all. Hopefully we're on our way to bigger things and none of this matters

Ive seen rumors of interest from both Barca & Juventus. The Juventus links suggested a PEA for Arthur swap.
I don't know that it would be a straight swap, but I would be curious to see an Auba for Dest swap with Barcelona. There seems to be a bit of smoke around something like that happening, albeit unrelated stories and context clues.

Also, i highly doubt we address backup RB until we can get rid of Cedric and at that point I am hoping that we go with someone young (under 20) and/or multi positional (maybe a DM/RB like Tyler Adams).
All of that aligns with what I thought. Plus, I don't see Barca taking on an aging, expensive player like Auba who isn't scoring much.

Yeah I'll take Tomi over Dest. He's miles better defensively. Dest is much more like Tierney/Tavares in that attacking back and I'm not entirely sure we want that on both sides.chjoak said:

Agreed. We should want to play and to take the points. Let those other teams get more congested fixture lists later on in the season.

If we think that the Wolves game doesn't get cancelled, I would probably start a similar team to the team that played vs Sunderland. Nketiah, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Nuno, Cedric, etc. Save Skaka, Laca, Martinelli, Tomiyasu, Tierney for Wolves.
Looks like the same lineup as we've played in the recent Premier League games except for Ben White at RB in place of Tomiyasu and Holding in White's usual spot.

Random question... anyone know what is up with players having holes in their socks on their calf? Noticed that Martinelli has them today. When we played Southampton I noticed 3-4 Saints that had 1-3 holes on the back of their socks.

Apparently it's to relieve tension in the calves and/or Achilles. It seems weird to me that premier league players have to do that. I haven't noticed in a while, but Kyle Walker used to have five or six holes on the back of his socks.
