Nervous about this one

Good win. We lose or draw this match the past four years.
We're going to have to pick up a goalie this summer, right? Turner, Ramsdale, and Leno all will be in Qatar for the WC, right?
Arsenal have included former defender Oleg Luzhny in the squad list in the matchday programme for the match against Leicester City today, to show support & stand in solidarity with Ukraine. 🇺🇦💙💛 #afc pic.twitter.com/z2nlBchY1F

I would love to see ESR in that role too, it's a no-brainer. I think he can play that position and left winger. Think Patino can play there too eventually, probably in 2-3 years.
I agree that they all need to get better on the defensive end, but Xhaka isn't exactly covering himself in glory on the defensive end these days either. It was his poor defensive play that gave up that 2nd goal vs Watford. And we all know how he can stick a leg out and draw a penalty, or grab a player and get a red.
I think more than defensive play, it's his leadership and experience that Arteta values. You can't have every player out there at 20-24 years old.
You are remembering correctly. The 2nd goal was caused by a poor choice to pass across the field rather than play something higher percentage. His new role is less reliant on him defensively but still requires him to track back and help Partey cover. He has had some situations where he was out of position defensively but that hasn't bitten us yet.Ghost of Andrew Eaton said:Strangely Attractive said:

Maybe I'm misremembering but Xhaka's ****ty pass led to the second goal against Watford. Other than that, he's been on a pretty good run overall.
