And also no surprise that group didn't get called out like they should.

I 100% agree. We're all biased to our teams. Its the same reason we all think A&M gets terrible calls in football. Arsenal want their turn because Covid already cost us once and the league refused to postpone the Brentford match to start the year when we had 5-6 starters out with Covid. Instead we were told to play reserve players and a u23 kid led the line away from home in his first match.
The league should have set the the rules to only be due to high covid numbers without regard for injuries or international duty. Even then its a fine line. Rule has to go.
You really can't blame Liverpool or us for that matter for taking advantage of poorly written rules to make sure they have stronger squads for big games like Cup semi's or a 6 pointer in a tight race for top 4. I don't think most fans like it and they have to do away with the rule at the end of the year.
🚨 Juventus are now expected to ask Arsenal if they could sign Thomas Partey in the deal that would see Arthur join the Gunners.

- I learned from the Gabonese Federation that there are two reasons for the decision to return both Aubameyang to Arsenal and Mario Lemina to Nice, the first reason related to the complications of the Corona virus and the desire of their clubs to reassure them, and the second reason relates to a quarrel with hotel security in Cameroon due to taking girls
- Aubameyang, Mario Lemina, assistant coach in the national team left the residence hotel yesterday during the team's training without permission, the trio are not participating in the training due to the complications of Corona, the team officials did not manage to reach them because their phones were turned off, but in the early hours of the day they returned to the hotel and were drunk
- There were girls with them. The hotel security refused the girls entry because they were not authorized to enter. The trio quarreled with the hotel security, who informed the officials of the national team mission and submitted a report to the CAF because of what happened.
- Immediately, the Gabonese federation, in coordination with the national team coach, Patrice Nouveau, quickly agreed to the request of Arsenal and Nice to leave the duo, after they were scheduled to travel on Wednesday, but Patrice Nouveau demanded their travel today and permanently exclude them from the tournament.
- In the same context, I learned from a source from the Confederation of African Football that they are waiting for clarification in the coming hours from the Gabonese Federation due to the hotel management filing a formal complaint against the team's delegation due to a quarrel between the team's players and hotel security due to the desire of some players to accompany girls inside the hotel.
Pablo Mari’s move to Udinese moving forward. Not finalised yet, but talks ongoing and appear to be heading in right direction. Would be a loan until the end of the season, if it gets done. pic.twitter.com/9O3K3sJSkS

Pablo Mari closing in on loan move to Udinese. Arsenal not expected to push for replacement, that would change if Calum Chambers also departed. As reported earlier this month, they'll consider offers for him but none forthcoming yet.

No new Covid cases and players returning from short-term injury, as well as differing EFL rules, means game is likely to be played.
