Was that a foul throw? In the wide replay it looked like Saka might have been off the ground trying to get the throw over the defender. Need to see it again though

Our time wasting is ridiculous
I know, probably naive, but I can't help but miss the days when we played the most beautiful football in the league and didn't have to stoop to cynical things like time wasting. That being said, I'll happily take 3 points over a smug sense of superiority.gougler08 said:agdoc2001 said:

That's soccer these days, every team does it unfortunately so it doesn't bother me when we get the chance
Two years ago today, Lacazette celebrates his winner against West Ham (last game before lockdown).

On paper, Smith-Rowe makes more sense at #8, but there's a number of issues that come without Xhaka. Arsenal lack experience and leadership on and off the ball without him. Xhaka keeps possession, makes a large number of passes, and is a vocal leader. Replacing him at #8 is hard. https://t.co/dhRjT1wARn

If we sign 2 strikers, 1 left sided 8, and a backup RB, what is yalls realistic wish list?
I like the idea of one target man and one speedy false 9 type but I don't see any way in hell we get both DCL and a higher profile guy like Felix, David, etc... A) the combo would cost too much money and B) both would be coming expecting to be the starter.Quote:
I'd go Calvert-Lewin as a big, target-man 9, and Joao Felix as our false-9 Lacazette replacement.
Not a bad option. I would be concerned with his injury history and whether he could truly stand up to an EPL season. Do like the skillsets he could bring to the table though.Quote:
Give me Renato Sanches as our left sided 8.
We are linked to 2-3 young English RBs. Chances are we go for one of them. Personally I would like to see us add Tyler Adams for DM/RB depth. We can have he and White backup Tomi with Saliba & Holding available to backup White if/when he slides over.Quote:
No idea on backup RB.
I understand your logic. I just don't see us spending the cash it takes to get 2 players of that quality.Strangely Attractive said:
I probably should have stipulated that my thoughts are based on making UCL. I think with 2 major competitions a week, plus the FA Cup and Carabao, we could use both DCL and Felix based on the fit required from our opponent. Very different type of Strikers. Think Arteta really values versatility.
