Personally, I've never considered the Liverpool match in doubt. The multiple "injuries" from last Thursday were probably all massively fatigue related. Hopefully we can get ESR and Tomiyasu back, but if they miss I'm not overly concerned. Hell, if we go out I'm not even gonna be that upset. All I care about at this point is the league. Get our guys back for league matches and win those games.

I don't think the problem has been Fiorentina. They've been ready to accept an offer, especially since he value will only go down with his contract ending in 2023. The problem is getting the agent and Vlahovic to sign. If the rumors are true, they have a pre-agreement with Juventus now to go there on a free after next year. Also why they may be asking for such a big commission is because they have to pay out of that contract, if it exists.
If that agreement exists in the form of an actual enforceable contract, Juve could be in significant trouble.

Agreed. I would probably counter with 12-15m to not seem desperate and to see if we can squeeze a bit more out. If they play hardball then you just cave to prevent the deal from falling apart but maybe you end up with 10-12m instead of 8.

Yes that has been the problem to this point; I'm hoping potential news of formally accepting the offer indicates that the agent has agreed to terms with Arsenal as well. Of course, who knows, hopefully we'll hear something more concrete today. I really think this is the guy that we need.

Interesting. Watching that yellow, it definitely appears blatant that he's waiting to get carded. Curious on how you would prove it. Xhaka gets carded all the time, so its a pretty easy bet to make. Don't see why friends wouldn't be allowed to make bets.

Don't know a ton about Turner but the general idea I get based on scouting reports and fan info is that he would be a younger, cheaper Leno. Honestly, if we were gonna send Leno to Newcastle I would kind of prefer to do Woodman + cash so we have 2 HG GKs.

Interesting....isn't the main reason Steffen is still the USMNT's #1 because he's better with the ball at his feet (which seems to be our main requirement now) Turner is an amazing shot stopper though based on what I saw for the USMNT in 2021
Yeah I think Turner is a very good shot stopper, but he leaves a ton desired with his distribution. Sounds like 5-7m up front with another 7-10m in addons. If we can sell Leno for 20m to Newcastle and get a replacement in on cheaper wages, then that is a good deal. Turner is 27. This wouldn't be a project in my mind. He's here to be a cheap backup until we get someone younger in or Okonkwu develops
