That was insanely close at the end.

For the record, I think the tactics were 100% right and the performance was great other than the finishing. Martinelli should have scored, Odegaard should have scored. Saka had one in the first half he should have done better with. Couple that with some last ditch Leeds defending and we just couldn't put them away

Weirdly we'd have been better off if they hadn't gone down a man. If they stayed 11 with the formation they were running we'd have probably scored several more.

Guy has been clutch. Due to his history of reckless challenges I think fans fail to give him the credit he deserves. Guy gives 110% each match, a real work horse, and demands a lot out of the younger guys.

I have been very critical of Xhaka and have refused to wear my Xhaka kit for the last 2 years. I was incensed when we resigned him this year. I will happily eat crow now, he has been the bedrock of this team this Spring.

To be fair, giving up a corner is no longer the death sentence it was 6-7 years ago. This was the first one in all competitions I believe that we've conceded from.

And also to be fair, Xhaka left Llorente unmarked on said corner.

For all his faults, Xhaka has been the one that has led by example. We all wanted Laca and Auba to be the experienced leaders of this team. Auba never was, Laca has been a good professional (but failed on the pitch) and Xhaka has been the answer. I'm not sure I've seen a player that constantly takes the amount of schtick that he has and continuously show up and give everything.

Theoretical. Arteta said Ben White should be good to go on Thursday. Would you consider running Ben White at RB, Holding/Gabriel at CB & Tomiyasu at LB?

Xhaka has been a net positive this season, especially since xmas. As much as I wanted him sold last summer, I am glad he stayed. There are still rumors of him moving on this summer but unless he is looking to leave I would be surprised if Arteta entertains any offers.

On Tielemans:
  • Arsenal's interest depends on favorable "market conditions" for a player with one year left on their deal.
  • The price needs to be around 30m-35m.
On Nketiah:
  • The club have been trying to tie him down again for the last few months
  • West Ham, Palace and several Bundesliga clubs are already after him ahead of a move this summer.

Anyone been following the social media buzz regarding the new "anthem" that's starting to catch on? I guess it debuted on Saturday and seems like maybe 75/25 people who love it versus hate it.

I'll try and see if I can find a clip to post, but I guess it's written by a local supporter and become really popular/viral in London the past week or so.

I would still like to bring in a bigger striker like a Calvert-Lewin type, just to give Arteta some variety and different ways to do things. We will have a lot of minutes to fill next year.

Being realistic... Yes. Unless we wanna spend 100m we likely arent getting anyone better than Jesus this window. Even guys with question marks (David, Isak, DCL) are said to be 50-70m. And while we might get someone better than Eddie if we go out and buy a young backup. That young backup may cost us more than Jesus. If we improve our quality of depth and add a starter quality CM we should be fine with Jesus/Eddie and then next summer we can look to upgrade if necessary.
