We've been in almost every game, but either can't seem to get the clutch hit or choke away a late lead. Team just has to keep fightin', they are a lot better than people give them credit for.

Lyles pitched well which is what matters most in the long run.
Mills...WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING?!?!
1st he leaves in Norris too long. Now he brings in 5 pitchers to face 5 batters. In a tie game. In the 8th. This game is likely going to go to extras you moron and you are going to be stuck throwing your closer for 3 innings and not having him available for the rest of the series.
I used to defend Mills, saying he doesn't have enough talent to accurately define his managerial skills. But based off of what I've been seeing at times this season, this guy sucks!
And very close to blowing the entire game making sure he gets his righty v. righty matchup. Dumb...

Mills was lucky as hell tonight, terrible management all around. Good win though.
We won tonight which means we will lose the next two. Only 1 win per series seems to be the trend.

I think Mills is OK. He hasn't had much to work with, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

One thing I love about this team is they hustle like hell out there. Travis Buck had no business getting a double on that deflected ball in the bottom of the 8th, but he made it happen.
Alright, we won the series.
Well another win to take the series. Happ had one of his typical games. 6.1 innings, 3 earned runs, 3 walks. Not terrible but not great either. The bullpen showed up tonight. Lowrie had another great night drawing 3 walks and hitting a home run.
Good win. Going for the sweep tomorrow.

How bout Jed Lowrie? I like this guy. He is very good defensively and is really starting to step up at the plate.
We definitely got the better end of the Melancon deal.
We killed it with the Melancon deal! I have thought this from the morning I heard it on the radio. Even if it was Lowrie for Melancon straight up I thought that woulda been a good deal.

When healthy, Lowrie is good. But he's had a string of injuries each year that have prevented him from reaching any semblance of stability or full potential. I hope he does well.

Seems like he was just seeing whether the ball would be fair or not.
If I hit a bomb like that I would admire it a bit. Don't care if I get knocked down the next AB. That thing was majestic!
