Astros really need to get more productivity out of that average though. All those hits tonight and only extra basehit was Martinez's HR.
Our infield has to be the worst in baseball. Between Altuve being 5' tall with no range and Carlos having the agility of a walrus the right side is no question the worst in baseball. I really like what Marwin has shown at the plate, but he really seems to lack in range as well. CJ is what he is, an average major league 3B with a slightly below average bat.
Schafer has been looking great at the plate, and has good speed but he really has a hard time judging the ball when it's in the air. He makes routine running catches look difficult, last night it cost us by keeping the inning alive when the Braves scored 3 runs to take the lead. Also, last night he was on second with one out (forget who was at bat) and froze when a ball was hit in front of Bourne that was clearly going to fall. He had to hold up at third and if I remember right he never scored.
Schafer can work on this and get better, I'm hoping Lowrie will get a little more range out there at SS without too much offensive drop off from Marwin. If not, it's going to be a long season again.
