Why the hell don't they bring up Lyles or someone else to pitch. Give them young pitchers some experience. We all know what you are going to get with Happ. 3 or more runs, maybe 5 to 6 innings, and a bunch of walks. Put Happ in the bullpen as a long reliever.

Agreed. Luhnow and co. were probably hoping that Happ could pitch better than his peripherals for a while and trade him off at the break to some poor dopes like the Astros were 2 seasons ago. He's terrible. He does not command his pitches and works from behind in the count all the time.

Well, we did just promote Cosart to AAA recently, so maybe the staff thinks he's almost ready to go. I would prefer we call up Lyles and send Happ down ASAP, but maybe they are paving the way for Cosart to join Houston at some point in the near future.

Can't wait for Cosart and Lyles to be part of the regular rotation. If Cosart can start throwing strikes more consistently it won't be long before we see him in Houston.
I haven't like Happ since he arrived. He's always had this smug attitude like he never wanted be here and didn't really give an eff about how he performed. While the rest of this team is playing with passion Happ goes out every start and loafs it up there.

Yea we got Cosart, Singleton and Domingo Santana in the Pence deal. Has the potential to be a very good trade, which is something I don't say very often about Ed Wade's decision making

We seem to have the most problems when starting pitching is putting men on base early, and when Brad Mills just cant help but tinker with a lineup that works.
There should be nobody in the 2 or 3 hole for the foreseeable future except Altuve and Lowrie. Constantly moving people around is not working and usually contributes to losing a game.
Also, I dont care how bad injuries are. You could sign a high schooler and get better production than having Abad on the team. He needs to go.. as in now.. as in as far away from this city as possible. Worst reliever I have ever seen.
