They're happy he's gone for sure. They're also uncertain about their future and they overwhelmingly support Maria Corina. But making a post saying the Venezuelan people boosted their support for her because she handed Trump the Nobel Peace prize is idiotic. It's so below anything that truly matters to them. They don't like her more than they already did for her doing that.

I have direct interactions with Venezuelans every day. This couldn't be more wrong. She didn't receive a 'bump' in VZ polling for Trump's pettiness about the prize. It's pathetic he's going that far with it.

There is no bump for her there. She IS and HAS BEEN the leader everyone wants. I'd bet half the polling numbers for Delcy are from people who are scared to say otherwise. Maria Corina's influence to her people is not affected in any way by anything Trump does.

Maybe not directly.

But if you think that this didn't help Trump find more resources for her to use to help her people, you don't know Trump very well.

And, I'm pretty sure VZ's will be ecstatic if she helps with the rebuilding through Trump

Would any of Cuba, Alberta, Venezuela, Puerto Rico lean Republican?. I can see Cuba, Alberta and Venezuela leaning R. Trump will or is loved in Venezuela I think so they would probably lean to his party for awhile.

Naturally you'd definitely say Puerto Rico would be Dem but idk don't they like Trump.

Adding Venezuela and Alberta would make us the king of oil.

I think the bigger question is not one of R vs D, but whether they support capitalism, democracy, our Constitution, support law & order, personal accountability, agree to assimilate with foundational American values and agree with voter ID - things that were at one time American values and now only exist to some degree in the remnants of the Republican Party and have gathered over the last decade in the America First / MAGA movement.

And before anyone chimes in that addling other countries to our empire is not America First or what Trump was elected for… I say thats just horse**** and anyone coming to that conclusion needs to rethink what being first, what being great really means. Others may join, some may leave but the ideal is to return America to the common values and ideals we were founded and have grown upon.
