the world beyond our borders matters. our actions matter.
"hey one time some other people knocked over a statue" is about as facile a comparison as can possibly be made.
First of all if you are so concerned about the Chinese maybe stop them from invading our farm property and other industries in our own damn country. They have bought thousands of acres of land outside of militates throughout the US and we have done nothing about it.
And how are we supposed to be taken seriously about opposing Tawaiin being invaded by a foreign country when we are doing the same exact thing literally. If anything we just gave a green light to China to take Tawaiin off the board
Didnt realize Taiwan's leader was a narcoterrorist dictator who had sanctions against him. Apples to oranges my friend.

Maduro’s involvement with drug trafficking is NOT made-up propaganda by Trump. It’s known fact.

Apples and Oranges from our perspective, but China doesn't see it that way. It's entirely plausible to think they could take this as a sign of aggression and feel like their hand has now been forced to invade Taiwan just like Putin felt with Ukraine and the NATO situation.

China has already said they were going to invade Taiwan and by 2027 to be exact. So I see this as somewhat logical fallacy since you simply take them at face value and don't let what they've already said dictate what you should and shouldn't do to protect your own country in your own backyard.
Also, the entire western world has a strategic interest in Taiwan and we've already said we would defend them and so has Japan.
Hell, the UK Defense Minister told China they would nuke China if they did it.

Venezuelans are unanimously happy about this, it's geopolitically advantageous for us to clear out the China allies in our hemisphere, and our sends a strong message to the drug cartels. So it's hard to get upset in any way.
But damn, toppling the leader of a foreign country, even a crappy, evil one, is a large exercise of executive power. I can't help but be a little nervous about that part and the precedent it establishes.
