The other thing is that the US may be leaking this to create significant cracks inside the transition government. Which will likely be the outcome. Either way, if true or not, there will be even larger amounts of people looking over their shoulder or taking out factional types during the next few days.
If I was in the CIA and we hadn't had talks, I would do this. If we had had these talks it's rough. Also if I was on those trips I'd be thinking about finding a way out of the country if I wasn't confident that the transition was going to work.
