Well, I will say there is one segment of American society that is THRILLED with Maduro's ouster - the Somalis.

I waited some time to form an opinion on this instead of listening to liberal screeching on MSM. I think the threat of a close hostile regime sitting on the world's oil supply was simply too great of a risk for U.S. interests. Whether technically "legal" or not, we cannot let a POS like Maduro have access to that much wealth.

Good call by Trump.

Was nice to see on poll on the Austin news if they thought the raid was unconstitutional. 75 percent said NO. Those that are Gen X and older see this as constitutional because we did the same with Panama and Grenada. The younger Generation are history dumb.

It's not a "war," just a surgical strike to remove an illicit dictator. I don't believe it was unconstitutional either. Plus we have a lot of historcal precedent and the Monroe Doctrine.

Others can validate but here are the 6 crude heavy oil refineries in Texas. Number 6 seems wrong.

1. Motiva Port Arthur Refinery (Port Arthur, Texas) Owned by Saudi Aramco, capacity ~626,000 bpd. Designed to process heavy sour and acid crudes, with major delayed coker units.

2. Marathon Galveston Bay Refinery (Texas City, Texas) Capacity ~631,000 bpd. Processes a wide variety including heavy crudes, producing heavy fuel oil and equipped for complex upgrading.

3. Valero Port Arthur Refinery (Port Arthur, Texas) Capacity ~360,000395,000 bpd. Specializes in heavy sour crude oils, with a dedicated delayed coker unit commissioned for enhanced heavy resid processing.

4. ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery (Beaumont, Texas) Capacity ~609,000 bpd. Capable of processing heavy sour crudes, with significant coking and upgrading infrastructure.

5. ExxonMobil Baytown Refinery (Baytown, Texas) One of the largest integrated complexes, processes diverse crudes including heavier grades.

6. Marathon El Paso Refinery (El Paso, Texas) Capacity ~133,000 bpd. Processes sour crudes (including heavier variants) into distillates and heavy fuel oil.

The Baytown refinery was set up in the last TA to make more olefins according to a friend of mine. I guess we use a lot of plastic. I am sure they could change it if needed.

For anyone who wants to play out the VZ situation via video game, you should check Tom Clancy's Ghose Recon Wildlands. I played it last year and it's a really good game. I'm quite sure it must have been based on VZ.

Here is the plot:

Quote:

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a modern military shooter set in a near-future, open-world Bolivia Venezuela that has effectively become a narco-state.

Core premise

The powerful Santa Blanca drug cartel Cartel de los Soles , led by El Sueño Nicolas Maduro, has taken control of Bolivia's Venezuela's government, military, and economy.

You play as Nomad, the leader of a four-person Ghost team sent in under deep cover.

The mission structure
Rather than a single linear storyline, the plot unfolds through a systematic dismantling of the cartel:
  • Santa Blanca Cartel de los Soles is divided into four major branches:
    • Production (drug manufacturing)
    • Smuggling (distribution routes)
    • Security (armed forces and enforcement)
    • Influence (propaganda, political control, intimidation)
Each branch is run by powerful lieutenants.

Your team:
  • Gathers intel
  • Undermines operations
  • Captures or kills cartel leaders
  • Weakens El Sueño's grip piece by piece

The problem with social media is that it takes no effort for anyone to share their thoughts, no matter how idiotic, and it takes just as little effort to find them.

Has anyone asked David Gilmore or Nick Mason?

Roger Waters wasn't the only member of Pink Floyd, as much as he thinks the band began and ended with him.

A bit before my time.

I heard it the band but never knew their bands members. And, to be honest, I think i only heard the brick in the wall song maybe a couple of times when it was played at places I was at.

I always suspect Gilmour was referring to Waters when he wrote these lyrics

So I open my door to my enemies
And I ask could we wipe the slate clean
But they tell me to please go f##k myself

Say what you want about Roger Waters, but he is consistent. Consistently wrong on international events, and consistently and virulently anti-Semitic.

On the other hand, Dark Side of the Moon is a flipping masterpiece.
