There are a few examples, especially when Russian forces started firing on a base. We used our back channels to ask if they had assets in the area. They said no. We then turned the area into complete desolation and sent back, no assets remain in the vicinity.

They learn nothing from WWII? Fighting on two fronts quickly becomes lose on all.

It looks like one of the ships wasn't even flagged. I'm sorry, but if you have no flag, I'm assuming you are a pirate and we are boarding. We protect the global shipping lanes and have done so, FOR FREE, for the last 80 years.

And Russia playing games with swapping flags? I mean, we're also guilty of that kind of ****ery in the last 250 years, but it's now the age of the internet and social media. We all know what they are doing and aren't playing that game with them.

In the grand scheme of things, this isn't that bad. Firing missiles at a US-Flagged ship? That's a red line you don't **** with.

I know this sounds cool and all for you to say,
but Russia is no Venezuela. We do not want any type of war with Russia. Not saying we can't win, but it would likely get super ugly super quickly for both sides.

Bella 1 never made it to Venezuela. It originated in Russia and turned back around for Russia after we tried to interdict off the coast of Venezuela.

Besides, Putin doesn't have the balls, much less anywhere near what it would take to actually last one round with us, even going full ugly. And that would have been before Putin invaded Ukraine and lost an eff ton on men and equipment.

He's relying on North Korea FFS, and even then he's barely not losing in Ukraine. Barely.

I have no clue, but we (the US) wanted to look at something on those ships. tankers are huge vessels; it would be very easy to go in and separate and conceal all kinds of stuff in vessels that size. just weld in a sealed off compartment that looks like one of the oil tanks and then use it for what ever they want. anything from ballistic missiles or drones to baby elephants i suppose

The point is why would they send anything advanced that we don't have intel on to VZ instead of using it in the battlefield.
