So... your only issue is the sonic weapons?

Are you saying 20 Delta operators wouldn't wipe the floor with the entire Venezuelan security detail? Because they literally did. Those are arguably the fastest and best shooters in the world. Talking about how fast they were and how fast and accurate their shooting is... that's literally what those dudes do. They are, without any doubt, the most lethal warriors on the planet.

Go watch any interview with guys who come from the special operations community (Rangers, SF, etc) talk about their thoughts when they finally got through selection and made it into the Unit. The first thing they talk about about is the inhuman speed and accuracy of those veteran guys.

I don't think most people understand how truly lethal those guys are.

This is literally what I have been texting with one of my best friends about. He was SF for over 10 years. Not to mention we are laughing at everyone freaking out about the sonic boom grenades lol. This is not new technology.

Exactly. Not to mention the level of funding and all the toys the T1 units get. These same guys, in all the interviews I've seen, talk about walking into their cage for the very first time, and being handed boxes of brand new advanced tech they had never seen before, still in the box. These guys get all the fancy toys.

Some poster earlier seemed flabbergasted that we would use top of the line tech against Venezuela. That is such a stupid take.

The fact is, the moment you authorize JSOC to send a T1 unit anywhere, they will use EVERYTHING they have to make the fight as lopsided as possible. What moron thinks we would send Delta into a fortified position with a hand tied behind their back? Do people not understand the amount of time and money that goes into training these guys?

Such an absurdly stupid take. When those guys are called on, it's all in. That's why many of us are saying the cartels want no part of JSOC. That's a level of fight they simply do not understand.

Yeah my buddy is medically retired but got to do training with delta in this type of assault. He's so jealous and had been talking about the metal cutting torches they use to get into safe rooms and the thermobaric grenades etc. All common tools in their bag now. The **** he tells me in person is much juicier.

That operation has put the world on notice. FAFO

I had to go back and get this video from Mike Glover immediately after Trump designated the drug cartels as "Terrorist organizations". This designation thereby gave Trump congressional authority to take action against them, per the authority given to the Office of the President to carry out the GWOT. For those who don't know, Mike was in the Unit for years and rose to Sergeant Major while serving there. He was telling us exactly what to expect once all the target packages got built. This was 8 months ago and now we're seeing these plans actually get executed:

I am all for T1 use of force on the ground against cartels in mexico or wherever they are found but lets not forget, that even with all of the training, tech, and intel they are not bullet proof.

At the same time we need to do a far better job at reducing the demand for drugs internally.

Godspeed.

Gold, cash, evidence of cocaine, drone parts.

Calling the boat a vault, used to ship payment for sanctioned goods, that can't go through SWIFT system.

This was not a war, and the Venezuelan citizens are celebrating. Venezuelan President Nicols Maduro's damage goes well beyond the drug trade. His socialist and authoritarian policies burdened the region with millions of refugees. He flooded the U.S. with migrants in an effort to sow political discord. Maduro also part of the axis of U.S. adversaries that includes Russia, China, Cuba and Iran, and all these countries were helping to keep him in power. His capture is a demonstration of President Trump's declaration to keep America's enemies from spreading chaos in the Western Hemisphere.

The Democrats claim of an illegal invasion of Venezuela is another example of their unlimited hypocrisy. They claim to hate dictators and organized at least two "No Kings" protests against President Trump. President Trump's actions resulted in toppling an evil dictator that Venezuelans waited for almost 27 years to end. Yet, leftists are protesting against the capture of Maduro because they claim it's imperialism.

Ehh, lets tap the brakes.

Maduro was only around because he was a lackey of Hugo Chavez who himself ruled the country for 14 years after a military coup. There is a massive and self-interested 4 decade old military and security apparatus that plans to perpetuate itself no matter what the Trump Administration tries to do over the next three years.

Not much has really changed other than a different figurehead operating the dictatorial regime.

Outside of Chile under Pinochet's military rule, there are so very few examples of South American countries ever really wanting change. You have to intervene to a massive degree over very long periods of time and Trump himself has said he has no interest in democratization of the country. He wans the sort of managed authoritarianism that we specialized in during the Cold War.

A significant difference between then and now is that the people we're going to have to negotiate with to effect regime change in VZ are not generals who want amnesty deals in exchange for going away. They're criminals with deep ties to the cartels, and they've been banking tons of money. We're going to have to either kill them outright or go through the whole judicial process to convict them.

Almost certainly got a huge bump from the popularity of gifting Trump he Nobel peace prize. People naively think it was about Trump… it was about her solidifying her popularity and support to making VZ great again.

Good for her, good for the people of VZ, good for Trump, America and the world.

I have direct interactions with Venezuelans every day. This couldn't be more wrong. She didn't receive a 'bump' in VZ polling for Trump's pettiness about the prize. It's pathetic he's going that far with it.

There is no bump for her there. She IS and HAS BEEN the leader everyone wants. I'd bet half the polling numbers for Delcy are from people who are scared to say otherwise. Maria Corina's influence to her people is not affected in any way by anything Trump does.

I don't know if they kill her but not having command of your military makes you a piss arse leader.

And to think that's what libs want here. Well, and Randy too. They want the military to answer to… Congress?!?? And not to POTUS.

That would be a ****ing disaster.

But yes, it's the support of the guys with guns that is important.

BTW- the Trump admin (and Trump) is using almost if not the exact same language with the Iranian crown prince. Which would be the same situation. Either you wipe out whats left of the IRGC or it's nothing hut chaos and civil war.
