How about you do us all a favor and step into the real world.

It's a fact that China sends Fentanyl into America with zero repercussions. Step into the real world and acknowledge that.

Duh. Go ahead and pull off an operation like this in China, brainiac.

A message to the Left that they will understand: Edmundo Gonzalez and 'Maria Corina were duly elected. Maduro usurped the election. Maduro was a "Threat to Democracy."

some apparently are too stupid to realize the difference between two unrelated topics:

1. war

2. arresting wanted narco-terrorists who are under indictment in the US Southern District of New York

That clip of the helo raining fire is incredible.

I'm pretty non-interventionist but we're not "nation building" here. And I think cartels need to have a healthy fear of death at all times.

Well, that's up to Venezuela isn't it? He told them that th drugs being shipped to the USA was going to stop one way or the other. They are killing THOUSANDS of Americans DAILY. I stand with Trump on this. Mexico should get the same treatment.

Let's focus now on Iran when we have them on the verge of freedom and throwing off the Mullahs

that will literally change the ENTIRE Middle East and world.

then focus on Colombia.

Cuba will fall on it's own with Venezuela and Colombia no longer able to support the communists

Make the drug war great again.

This is how you fight a war against drugs. Not by supplying needles to addicts or just saying, "No."

Unfortunately, this won't have a long term effect on drugs in the US. History has shown that taking out one gang only leads to others quickly replacing that one.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have taken Maduro out but I also don't think this stops drugs in this country.

Previous US leaders have had the goal of "controlling" the flow of drugs into the US. Trump seems pretty focusing on STOPPING it. Will it work? To be seen but to default to this being just like last time is naive and actually ignores history and what is different this time.
It also remains to be seen if some US leaders had the goal of profiting off the flow of drugs into the US. Maduro better be under tighter security than Epstein was.

Do you really think drugs can only come from outside the US? While I don't think it is possible to stop the importation of drugs, even if Trump does, there are so many different drugs out there, which can easily be made in a high school lab or home kitchen that the scourge of drugs won't stop. To think otherwise is really naive.

Want proof, go see how well prohibition worked when the US government tried to stop all production and transportation of alcohol.

They already have access, that's why they put up a fight with the Hess merger.

That was over Guyana. This is Venezuela. Their oil industry ks going to be rebuilt by American oil companies who now have access to their massive reserves.

Senator Andy Kim (who?) D-NJ is pissed.

Yeah, this process hasn't been followed since WWII because you abdicated your responsibility. Try again.

Quote:

"Secretaries Rubio and Hegseth looked every Senator in the eye a few weeks ago and said this wasn't about regime change. I didn't trust them then and we see now that they blatantly lied to Congress," Kim wrote on social platform X. "Trump rejected our Constitutionally required approval process for armed conflict because the Administration knows the American people overwhelmingly reject risks pulling our nation into another war.

It's the very definition of strength, actual sound foreign policy and reduces Americans at risk in VZ. By the way, what sane American would have been hanging out in Chavez/Maduro led VZ anyway?

Quote:

"This strike doesn't represent strength. It's not sound foreign policy," he continued. "It puts Americans at risk in Venezuela and the region, and it sends a horrible and disturbing signal to other powerful leaders across the globe that targeting a head of state is an acceptable policy for the U.S. government."

Because Maduro didn't trust his own people. And some say Maduro was a Cuban proxy. He studied Marxism in Cuba.

That's a strawman.

Taking our Maduro and stopping the flow of drugs into the Country is a wholly separate discussion of stopping home grown drugs.

The cartels are not going to have their volume replaced by a motorcycle gangs and wannabe Heisenbergs.

I would say its more about sending a message to China/Russia to gtfo from our hemisphere, if we cared about drugs we would have kept up the ban on poppy production when we occupied Afghanistan since something like 90% of the world's heroin supply came from there.

Cuba has a more sophisticated security infrastructure and process so Maduro has been using the Cubans as muscle in exchange for heavily discounted oil back to Cuba to keep their commie regime afloat. It was a symbiotic relationship that is now going to further endanger Bermudez in Cuba.

The naval blockade had already shrunk Cuba's daily VZ oil from 100k barrels to 30k barrels based on reports. It could go to zero at this point.
