Kidnapping a head of state is an act of war. Whether or not they were elected doesn't mean anything. If France abducted the king of England. That would be an act of war. Hell, Jefferson considered merely chopping down a flag staff at the US consulate a declaration of war.

The argument should be how this act of war was JUSTIFIED. Not pretend that it wasn't an act of war.

Maduro was not kidnapped, he was arrested.

There is no critical thinking about the fact that Maduro is everything they accuse Trump of being; dictator, brutally authoritarian, illegitimately elected, corrupt, conspiring with and using foreign troops to control his own population, etc. Maduro is what they think Trump is, yet they oppose removing him from power and freeing millions of oppressed Venezuelans, simply because Trump is the one doing it.
