This isn't over yet, Why do you think this is over?

Are you old enough to remember the mission accomplished banner W put up on an aircraft carrier?

Hint: The mission was decades away from being over

Please stop with your crap. It's really embarrassing at this point.

Maduro's regime is still in charge. How is this over yet?

Really? And what is their response? I'm waiting for you to relay that bit of important information to us.

It's still pretty early to know where this goes.

Moving goalposts now. Ok….

And you know there will be ZERO credit if this continues to go ideally

Of course. Liberals…..well, they liberal.

This is so lazy, it's like calling people who disagree with you a Nazi. I have stated on here multiple times I voted for Trump all 3 times. He literally ran on not doing what he is doing. Doesn't make me a liberal

Please….just stop.

Go back and look at the last responses to everything I have said….literally hollow

Seeing a lot of chatter about many (possibly a few dozen) F-22s being involved last night.

Russia had delivered some modernized Su30 aircraft not that long ago. You know a bunch of Raptor pilots were ready for the hunt.

I'll make this easy for you. (You will argue a stupid point because you think you can teach us something, but you won't)

Marco probably said it best today when he said Maduro had lots of chances to "govern in exile" from another rogue country like Russia, but he mocked the only Superpower country on earth. He FA and he FO. The western world and his own citizens rejected him as a democratically elected leader of their "state". Trump arrested a thug drug-dealing moron and he's sleeping on a concrete bed tonight. That's a good thing for humanity.

The folks who will find misery in every American victory?

Point at them and laugh at them. Their sophistry notwithstanding, know that they are miserable people who will forever be unhappy because they have chosen the false god of liberalism. They can never be reasoned with.
Just destroy their idols.

I did. Class of 03. I'm sorry my differing opinion on deposing a foreign leader got your panties in a wad.

He is not a foreign leader, he's a self appointed narco terrorist dictator. We're not fighting the people of Venezuela, they're celebrating this, we're not fighting the Venezuelan army, we arrested an indicted, wanted criminal fugitive.
Thomas Jefferson: "When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." I left this site last year because of equal opportunity given to mouth-breathers that would like to argue with GPT facts.

How in the hell were there that many people up on this board at 3AM last night? That is a real testament to the regulars that post here.

Reading through the military thread on the Panama invasion makes me proud to wear my Aggie ring with you guys.

Good article that attempts to articulate how the USA has understood and implemented its power since dropping the bomb. Worth a read.

Quote:

The bomb did more than end a war. It altered America's relationship to power itself. When the United States became the first nation capable of annihilating cities in a single act, moral recoil was immediate and sincere. American culture, which Protestant seriousness and a belief that power entails responsibility shaped, absorbed the shock deeply. Strength ceased to feel morally neutral. It began to feel dangerous simply by existing.

That instinct was not wrong. Nuclear weapons demanded restraint. Prudence was rational. But the psychological effect did not remain confined to nuclear strategy. Over time, American power itself acquired an asterisk. It required justification, apology, limitation.

Responsibility subtly transformed from stewardship into suspicion.

The cultural shorthand for this instinct is almost embarrassingly familiar. As Stan Lee famously put it, "With great power comes great responsibility." The line was never meant as a warning against action; nor was it a simple comic book slogan. It was a statement of duty. Power implied obligation, not paralysis.

I wake up early, it's just a genetic defect. Perfect retort to the moron democrats in DC etc. melting over this:

Note the Redstate commentary as to why VP Vance wasn't in MaL at the time of the raid:
Quote:

Quote:

VP VANCE met with TRUMP in West Palm Beach daytime Friday to discuss strikes. He was not physically at Mar a Lago during strikes but joined via secure video line.

Returned to Cincinnati after the operation concluded.

The White House is "trying to limit co-locating POTUS and VP when they are away from the White House due to increased security concerns," Fox News reported.

What is he doing? Because this isn't a war.

If anything close to this was done to the US it would obviously be an act of war…what world do you guys live in?

And guess what, if a foreign nation came in and took Trump prisoner over night there would probably be a lot of people in the street cheering about it too…does that make it okay???

False equivalency.
President Trump
  • was elected Maduro was not
  • does not deal drugs running a cartel Ppresident Trump does not

Kidnapping a head of state is an act of war. Whether or not they were elected doesn't mean anything. If France abducted the king of England. That would be an act of war. Hell, Jefferson considered merely chopping down a flag staff at the US consulate a declaration of war.

The argument should be how this act of war was JUSTIFIED. Not pretend that it wasn't an act of war.

Maduro was not kidnapped, he was arrested.
Whatever you call it... It's still a (justified) act of war.

100 percent agree. My Democrat wife was for what happened in Venezuela and taking Maduro. Probably because she is Gen X and knew what went down in Panama in 89. She said it is the same type of operation. These younger people dont read history or refuse to retain it.

FIFY. Their mindset is literally "I hate Trump; Trump did this; therefore, I hate this". There is no critical thinking about the fact that Maduro is everything they accuse Trump of being; dictator, brutally authoritarian, illegitimately elected, corrupt, conspiring with and using foreign troops to control his own population, etc. Maduro is what they think Trump is, yet they oppose removing him from power and freeing millions of oppressed Venezuelans, simply because Trump is the one doing it.
