I'm sure Trump has told them that they too will find themselves sent off to a supermax in the US if they don't play ball.

But there is a difference, a massive one because Maduro was indicted. Have the rest of them been indicted?

If not, we cannot just Maduro them out of VZ.

Well, the entire regime is pretty much just a narco-terrorist syndicate that uses brute force to cling to power. I think they could probably find ways to leverage the remaining Maduro loyalists.

I am sure Mike Waltz is a good ambassador and will do a good job, but the way Marco Rubio has been lately ripping these water-carrying reporters for (any commie party will do) to shreds and the follow-up zingers. I would really love to watch him tear apart all the champagne socialists from Europe and all the other teeth-gnashing liberals claiming to represent their people. When in fact they represent Soros and the WEF.

Marco was on fire today. He destroyed George S.

Maybe in theory. Maduro talks? Or more likely his wife?

Maduro gave himself up. Negotiated exit strategy with us to ensure he could get out while remaining above room temperature.

You're thinking there were no South or Central American countries he could have decamped to even assuming his hold on power domestically was that tenuous? A dramatic and undignified capture for not only himself but his wife at the hands of the US and then prison was his only option?

It seems like more than a few countries south of us would have been willing to host him in exile rather than see what transpired.

Maybe he couldn't get out due to his Cuban "guards". If he is taken by the US, rolls on everyone he can, maybe he get a very suspended sentence. Better than a cruise missile through the bedroom window.

As stated previously, we wanted to eliminate any/all scenarios where he could potentially return or remain in the region as symbolic leader. Additionally, this prevents he and his wife from being targeted for elimination and the appearance of the extraction/arrest presents plausible deniability of working with the US.

Most current reports are saying that this entire thing was orchestrated exclusively behind his back between the US and Rodriguez but something about his manner and behaviors that we've seen thus far make me question whether that's entirely true.

If he were to roll on Cuba's President as part of the narco terrorism operation to get him indicted? That's 3D chess legal strategy.

I didn't see this posted and would first point out that it was recorded before the military action.

In short a man from Venezuela tells about all the crimes of Maduro and his people. Like for example two of his nephews getting busted for running coke, and then Biden giving them back after they were convicted.

It's 100% wrong. Unless Congress declared War Trump had no right.

I've been a loyal and proud Trump supporter but I'm completely opposed to this action.

Well intentioned or not we can't openly depose other countries leaders, or at least we shouldn't.

You can have the opinion that "we shouldn't have done this" but you are factually incorrect.

The president can, and should, invade a country for a period of up to 60 days at which time he must notify congress. By day 90, he must withdraw forces if not approved.

In this instance, he used the terrorist designation and the warrants to arrest a fugitive.

Whether you agree or disagree of those facts 1) 60 days, 2) terrorist 3) fugitive and 4) the right to self defense when conducting law enforcement duties, you are sadly misinformed.

If you also think this is the first time the Feds have arrested a terrorist alongside the military, you are also wrong.

Just because this wasn't the Middle East doesn't mean it's legally any different.

And is it correct that Venezuela might have one refinery, with problems, to handle heavy crude?

Isn't there a Velero refinery that was purposed built for VZ heavy crude? Looks like this is a timely build: New Houston refinery

good info.

From what I can remember, The US and Houston specifically used to take in a lot of the heavy Venezuelan crude, the Lyondell refinery on HW 225 in Houston was set up to take all that heavy crude oil. The refinery was sold and I'm not sure if it is even running these days. We can run heavy crude from down there no doubt, it would be great to mix with lighter condensate from the Eagleford most likely

The article says it's in Brownsville and was built for shale oil production. Shale oil is different than that Venezuela oil. The oil from Venezuela is very viscous stuff apparently. The shale oil is a lighter crude that you would typically picture in thinking about what oil looks like.
