Some may remember that the MPD was ordered to abandon the 3rd Precinct. There was a Target across the street from that building that looted and destroyed. Anyone thinking about opening a business should take a long hard look at the demographics. And the trends in those demographics. I would suggest profiling not only racially but culturally and analyze the religions in the area (such as the number of muslims). To invest millions or tens of millions or hundreds of millions in a place that is trending in the wrong way is sure to be a mistake.
