International window still open for us to offload some weight.

For what it's worth, I read this morning that we had agreed a deal to sell Mustafi to an unnamed Ligue 1 team assumed to be Monaco and that a deal to send El Neny to Galatasary was almost done.

Assuming Luiz and Tierney get done today, and we offload some players by the end of the month....well done by Raul, that's a heck of a transfer window.

I never expected 4 new starters from this transfer window. Excited to see how they gel.
Considering how desperate we're getting for CB help, Luiz for 8M is a great bit of business IMO. I'm no huge fan of his but we need the depth if nothing else.
I think Ceballos is gonna be great in the midfield this year. Wish there was some type of option to buy attached to his loan.

Seeing some reports that Laca & PEA have signed new contracts with Arsenal
Nketiah is gone on loan to Leeds. Should be getting a lot of match time there and training under a great manager in Marcelo Bielsa. Also they gave him the #14 so he'll be the 2nd coming of Henry

Yeah I'm a pretty big fan of Iwobi myself. Even as just a utility player although I think he can press on. I'd rather him not leave because as we said above, we need some extra depth. This means Nelson, Saka and Martinelli are your back-up wingers behind Pepe, sorta Auba and sorta Mkhi,

If Everton are gonna pony up ~40M for Iwobi, I'm fine letting him leave. Feel like he's stalled out in his progression the last couple of years.
Think that is bad business. A) The price tag is too low given how high other homegrown players are going and B) he is currently our best playmaking winger. Really hope we accepted a lower price for a big sell-on clause or a reasonable buy-back.
Won't argue with what's on paper, just haven't seen that translate into direct success on the field lately. I think he's stuck out of position with where Emery wants to try and play him, through no fault of his own. His comments earlier this summer didn't really help either.
Just my opinion, but I'm fine with Arsenal grabbing some cash and trying to break in some of the younger guys up front considering Emery is still going to be choosing from Auba, Laca, Pepe, Ozil, and Mhki in the attack every game.

I get the logic, just think it was a big mistake. Also seems silly to flat reject 30 and agree for 10 or less more. I hope that means we are getting sell-on / buyback clause or maybe a swap for one of their youth players.
Agreed, and I would gladly welcome Iwobi back. Especially once we've finally moved on from Ozil and Mkhi.
Not thrilled with losing Iwobi, but I get it. Nelson and Saka may have higher ceilings.

What an amazing summer we've had. I would have loved to off-load Mhiki and his wages, but we picked up some incredible talent and improved spots we've been needing to solidify for years. All the pressure on Emery in the boys, but no reason we shouldn't qualify for the champions league this year with this team.

Then you must not watch any games. He's a decent squad player with an ability to contribute goals and assists. He's never gonna be a star, but he was arguably one of our best players in the front half of last season. He works hard, has great footwork and is only 23. We most definitely could have used him as depth this year and weren't looking to sell him until Everton came in with a decent fee.
If we can use Iwobi's money for a big CB signing in the December or summer windows, I'll take it. Use it to help pay for Upamecano a year from now.
It's going to take me a while to get used David Luiz in an Arsenal kit. Arsenal leadership finished well considering how bleak things seemed in mid August. Let the games (matches) begin!
Well ***** Ozil & Kola out for the Newcastle match because there have apparently been more security incidents.
Emery has stated that we will still see the squad thinned before the end of the euro window. General consensus is that El Neny & Mustafi are most likely out the door with the possibility of a loan for ESR and/or Mavro though both are injured right now.
What are they going through? Terrible that there's security concerns for them.
Side note, I'm pretty interested in watching what you guys do this year. Y'all won the transfer window!
