Mustafi is such a weird player. 99% of the time, he is a solid, serviceable CB. But that 1% time he will make an absolutely catastrophic error to cost is a goal and points.Smokedraw01 said:

Previous record is 17 in a 38 game season although citeh drew 18 times in 93/94 in a 42 match season. We have 12 draws with 14 left to play, so I assume we will smash the record with 26.

He's been on the bench for the last several games, but Guendouzi and Willock are typically called before he is. I think he is probably a better player than either of them right now, but Arteta has said it time and again that he is building for the future, which Ceballos technically isn't apart of as a loan player
He was but is back now. Think what wangus said is accurate. It's also possible that Arteta doesn't rate Ceballos for what we need/want in MF so it would ultimately be better to work with Duezy/Willock to try and mold them into the MFs he wants.PJYoung said:

I was listening to TSS and they believed that Chelsea didn't pressure Mustafi as much because they wanted the ball at his feet. Absolutely. He was terribly inaccurate passing into the midfield without pressure. They should have had Abraham and Hudson-Odoi closing him down the moment the ball was heading to him.

because arsenal has either grandpas, IRs, or Mustafi at CB on the roster.
We have a need at CB, Arteta is atleast somewhat familiar with him, I've read he is one of the most sound CBs in the Brazilian league and he is rumored to cost us approx 7m euro.
Or he is a lifelong 2nd league footballer who couldn't get a sniff of first team football at man citeh and we're only signing him because his agent is Raul Sanllehi's buddy. Guess we'll see.

I saw this on twitter as well, and it just makes me shake my head. How are we still one of the top 15 most valuable clubs in the world, putting us in like the top 30-50 most valuable franchises across sports and we don't have $9MM for a transfer? The more I've read into it, it just sounds like we don't want to pay for him now. I think the idea was a loan-to-buy agreement in the summer, but that Flamengo want us to buy him now.
I don't believe the headlines saying we don't have the cash. Arsenal is a multi-billion dollar organization. They can scrap 10m from somewhere. I think we simply don't want to pay the actual money and are trying to negotiate a lower fee.

Best part about the FA Cup is playing the lower level teams - love seeing the different stadiums and all of the traditions each team has.

Lots of sources stating that we are close to completing a deal for the Ukrainian CB from Shakhtar that I mentioned a few posts back. He's on the short side but is said to be a better version of Chambers that can play LB & CB.
