If we win out next 2 (Villa & Watford), Spurs lose one or tie both (Leicester & Palace) and Sheffield win no more than one (Leicester, Everton & Southampton) we would finish in 7th with the last EL spot. If Wolves manage to not win (Palace & Chelsea) their last 2 we would finish 6th.

I'm hoping a late surge for an EL finish would encourage Kroenke to add some to the coffers this window so we have a better shot at CL qualification next window.

I can only hope things go our way.

If the Kroenke's don't back Arteta in the next year or two, he is gonna leave for greener pastures. I think he has shown promise so far, but we need some better players regardless.

Agreed. The thing is I think we can significantly improve the squad this next window by offloading the right guys and bringing a few key guys in. Don't think it will take much and I think we could get away with a minimal net spend but we need that little bit of extra backing so we can afford to go for a guy like Upamecano that would have the potential to make a huge impact.

Agree, some of our top wage earners should be dropped, like Kolasinac (and probably Lacazette). And next year we can get rid of the Ozil albatross. If we can pick up a few pieces (midfield & CB) and lean on some young guys (Martinelli, Saka, Saliba, maybe Nelson, Willock, and Smith-Rowe), we could be decent over the next couple of years with Arteta at the helm.
