Wonder who the "new staff" is.
I've seen some rumor of Xabi Alonso (current Sociedad B manager) and a guy from MC staff but I've since heard that the guy from MC is moving into Arteta's role at City.

I've seen a few names thrown out there.
Steve Round who is the director of football at Aston Villa. Worked with David Moyes at United & Everton.
Inaki Cana Pavon from Brentford FC as a Goalkeeping coach. Apparently highly rated according to Ornstein.

Joined Brentford from FC Nordsjlland in 2018. He has also worked at a collection of clubs in Spain and in the academy of Barcelona, where he started as a player. Iaki played for Barcelona C before moving into coaching.
The Spaniard created his own goalkeeper academy in Barcelona in 2013. He worked at Centre d'Esports Sabadell Futbol Club, in the third tier of Spanish football, before moving to Nordsjlland in January 2017.

I appreciate Arteta giving the players the not very cryptic warning that they better play hard every second they're on the field or they will pay the price.
And I think it helps the message that Arteta's former club just came to the Emirates and embarrassed Arsenal.

We've been pretty danm poor. Nelson, Auba and Smith Rowe aren't in the match at all. Sad thing is that even with all the youth, I don't see any difference from them to the actual senior players.

Freddie refusing to sub on Pepe or Laca has been the one aggravating problem I've had with him
Ugh such a disappointing match. Just never attempted to make any changes to try and take the game. Pepe should have come on for Nelson at 60-65 minutes.
Laca has been dismal away. I assume that is what kept him off the pitch until the 78th minute.

Game plan looked a little better. Pepe should be starting over Nelson. We looked better going forward, but the final ball/finishing was atrocious. Defense is what it is. Hopefully we get someone in January. I though Ozil looked much better today.

I know it's annoying the number of times I've said it, but the best outcome in my mind is Mesut Ozil playing well for Arsenal.
We won't play world class flowing attacking football without world class attacking midfielders and Ozil is the only guy we've got who has that potential.
And who the hell else wants to come to Arsenal right now as a world class attacking midfielder?
One win in last fourteen matches. Agonizingly average Arsenal. January transfer window with Arteta in charge will be interesting. Hope to unload some dead weight more than anything.
