Thoughts...
- D is still awful. We were very lucky to get the shutout. Really wish we could have seen Mari.
- Saka is gonna be special. They need to pay the boy and get him wrapped up for 5+ yrs.
- Willock shows a good bit of promise but he needs to be loaned out next season to get regular playing time and we need to bring in/promote a MF that can replace Ozil or atleast provide adequate service with Ozil is unavailable.
- Really wish we would try a 4-2-2-2 when Ozil is unavailable. Our CMs are't quite where they need to be but PEA & Laca as dual ST has always been a deadly combo and we have wings that can provide width & service.

That was text book dangerous play. I do not see how the announcers could claim that is allowed because they allow overhead kicks. That was a totally ridiculous statement.

Read something this morning claiming that Laca has an agreement with the club that he will be allowed to leave this summer if we miss out on CL. Honestly I would likely move him anyway for the right deal but interesting to hear (assuming it is true) that he is greasing the wheels on his exit.
Auba apparently has the same thing. Contract talks have progressed, but its all dependent on CL.

Laca said in the pre-match press conference that this is the first he has heard about such an agreement. Auba has said the same as well. Its probably all heresay on there parts to not burn bridges. I'd totally understand if Auba is gone without CL.chjoak said:

Very few players that would actually admit to having that agreement. Maybe he was telling the truth but I highly doubt he would admit it if he did have it.
I could see Auba leaving without CL (or maybe otherwise), but Laca? I doubt he would get much playing time on a CL side. I have a hunch it's not an accurate rumor, but either way I would move Laca away in the summer anyway, and do whatever I can to keep Aubameyang.
I would start Auba at striker the next 3 years, and have Martinelli/Nketiah groomed behind him. Saka on the Left wing, Pepe on the right.

Laca would get snapped quickly by one of the French CL teams or possibly Atletico Madrid. Simeone is a big fan plus Costa/Morata have been pretty bad
Yeah, there were a number of rumors in Jan that Atleti wanted to do a Laca for Lemar deal. Wouldn't mind doing a trade with them but would prefer Partay over Lemar.
