Seen a couple interesting links in the last couple of days...

1. Bayern are looking to offload Corentin Tolisso in order to make room for Kai Havertz and he is being linked to Arsenal & ManU.

2. Supposedly someone associated with Arsenal reached out to Santi Cazorla about his thoughts on current teammates Pau Torres and Samuel Chukwueze and their potential fit for Arsenal. Torres was rumored to be a CB target under Emery and Chukwueze was almost signed by the Arsenal academy in 2017 before he opted for Villarreal instead.

Finally watching the game. My thoughts...

1. Really hoping the Saka gets a run playing on the wing rather than LB next season
2. Thought Dani played really well. Saw some criticism of his numerous short passes to Xhaka but as I see it he made the passes Newcastle gave him and took shots up the field when they opened up.
3. Pepe was really good. Hoping he can keep this form.
4. Eddie did well considering his lack of minutes this season. Worked hard and got into good position. Just unfortunate that he missed his sitter.
5. D still needs work. We may have lost in a shootout against a stronger offensive side. They didn't look foolish like some games in the past but still managed to leave guys completely unmarked.
6. Said before and will say it again, PEA just doesn't look right playing on the wing.
7. Saint-Maximin looks deadly as hell. Would love to see him playing for us. Ozil would have a field day picking out runs from a forward line of PEA, St-M and Pepe.

Young Robbie Burton is mostly likely leaving to join Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. Deal for less than $1m. I thought he showcased some good talent in the preseason matches, but he hasn't made the break through to the first team yet.

Hopefully we are smart and have a buy back clause just in case.

Agreed. I have no issue offloading these young guys that we feel may not have it but I am tired of letting guys go on the cheap only for them to be worth significantly more just 1-2 years later. Need to make it a habit of including a buyback on most youngsters if we let them go, especially those that will be HG. Worse case it is a way to negotiate more cash later like we did with Carlos Vela back in the day.

Yes and I recommend when you do the stadium tours, to do it with one of the Arsenal legends. Charlie George is a ton of fun and crazy smart about the club.

Yeah, weird that maitland-niles is on the bench. If you're going to play Luiz and Mustafi then keep them together in the middle to keep chemistry there.
