They've occasionally ended up with a 4 man back line, but on the whole it looks like the typical 3-4-3.
Looks to me like Saka is staying up field a little more consistently than Soares, and the center backs naturally shift left to fill the space, which gives it a bit of a 4-3-3 look at times.

On that last move, Saka ended up more central and Kolasinac filled space along the left touchline.

Dani has been VERY active this game. Hasn't done much but I like the effort to take control of the MF.

Underwhelming. Too much squad rotation and not in sync.
I honestly don't think he can work in a 2 CM pairing. In Italy he was at his best as a lone #6. May be able to function like that for us but we don't really have the other MF to run a proper formation that utilizes a lone #6.wangus12 said:

Use 3 of those subs at half. Tierney, Pepe, and Xhaka. Go to that 4-3-3 and take off Torreira, Kolasinac and Nketiah.

Europa for next year going to come down to FA Cup. Not dissimilar to Champions League hopes from last season pinned on the Europa title. Chelski on both counts. With play like this against AV, even with a number of players rotated for this match, not liking the chances.
Arsenal couldn't handle the success of last week. Dropping points on the road has been the norm for a long time. Disappointed in Arteta and the guys for not being ready for a desperate Villa.
Looks like our only shot at EL is beating Chelsea in the FA cup. Think our only shot there is if they are dinged up and/or resting guys for their CL draw.
What is really bad is that this is our normal performance and its been that way for 18 months. Villa didn't do anything special. They beat us straight up. We couldn't create a ****ing shot on target against a relegation side that wasn't even parking the bus. We get random wins against great teams, but this is what we are 90% of the time.
75% of the squad needs to be sold and replaced and we won't be able to do that. I'd rather watch Ozil lope about for 90 minutes knowing at least he has the capability of playing a pass that could start something. I don't have the feeling with any other player on this team currently.

We could have played 180 minutes and not scored with that performance
What a gutless performance - just disappointing.
