Mertesacker is going to be working with the first team for now as well. I doubt they pull Martinez away from Belgium with them being one of the favorites for the Euros next year.

Seeing a rumor that Real badly want PEA in Jan and are planning to offer 70m euro + James. It's rumored that Arsenal are seeking 80m GBP if/when he is sold.
I'd take that in a heartbeat. I get that PEA is good but he and Laca play to two totally different systems. Maybe we could get a cb instead.
Don't see James doing anything for us unless we sell Ozil and use James and a #10. If we can't get a CB (Eder Militao), LW (Vinicius Jr) or CM (???) from Real I wonder if it would be possible to do the deal and flip James elsewhere for more cash or a player in a position of need?

Curious how this D would be if we had a quicker more defensively sound MF pair.
Probably using Emery's game plan for Norwich. There is simply no way he'd be able to change anything in just one practice. This is why we should have changed during an international break.
Hopefully after a week we will start to see some new tactics and lineups.

It seems anytime the Aggies play a freshman QB, we make them look all world. We trot out a freshman and they usually look like a freshman.

If you trot out Kola on the left and Chambers on the right a good defensive MF duo is a must but still isn't going to prevent chances. Neither player has the speed to hold any fast winger at bay. Somehow Arsenal hasn't figured out you need speed at those positions.chjoak said:

What's the injury situation? I think Ceballos and Holding are officially out still, but don't know on Tierney and Bellerin. I would hope Freddie plays either of them if healthy over whoever else on the outside. Then CB is just a roll the dice, although I prefer if Chambers grabbed one of the spots. Not that it really will make a difference, but i feel better about it for whatever reason.

Ceballos is only official out. Bellerin is a match day decision. Everyone else is available.
Drop Willock and Kola and replace with Pepe and Tierney...this shouldn't be so hard
Wouldn't mind dropping Laca for Martinelli at the moment and playing Auba up top.
