You make it sound as if best drama is the only category. Also, you'd be right if this was actually a miniseries, however, they have plenty of time to pick up best drama if they don't win it this year. Probably not. They likely feel that GoT will lose most of their head to head battles with BB. TD gives them a much better chance to pick up more emmys for a dramatic series.

Wow! I mean Wow! I've said this 1000 times and everyone just looks at me like I don't know what I'm talking about. I've never come across anyone that agreed with me. Don't get me wrong I like his movies but it just seems like as long as he's smiling, everyone goes nuts over this guy. My favorite role for him was in The Departed but even then I think it had more to do with how much I liked the movie as a whole.
I also put Clooney up there except that I don't really like his movies much at all.

definitely agree on Leo. He's good, had some great roles, but struggles to truly make me a believer in his characters. He's always Leo playing "insert name here."

Finished this yesterday. What a great show. Especially considering it was all done in 8 episodes. All killer, no filler.
This show has ruined TV for me because nothing measures up.
I am even scared to watch season 2 for fear of being let down and taking away from the series.

For those asking, the final scenes with Lawnmower man were filmed partially on a set and at Ft McComb, which was built after the War of 1812 to protect the entrance to Lake Pontchartrain from the Gulf.
Just binge watched this over the last few days. ****ed up, but so, so good. MM should get an Emmy, Woody should get an Emmy, the director, everyone. MM has really been building the last several years but that's the finest work he's done, incredible.
I like that show better than anything I've seen in quite a long time. The story, the acting, cinematography, everything was just right.

It will be interesting to see how the Emmys shape up this year. Breaking Bad in its final year, another strong year from Game of Thrones, House of Cards had a lot of buzz, and of course True Detective. It will be interesting to see who is defined as supporting in TD and if Dean Norris gets nominated (along with Aaron Paul). Anyone know when nominations get announced? Around June/July right?

I also wonder if they'll have him eating food in a lot of scenes ala Ocean's 11.
I wouldn't put much stock in that. None of the legit sites are running the rumor, and we've heard time and again that it'll most likely be a female lead (or leads) this go-around. But I could be wrong.
Saw the Pitt rumor too on another website.
Anybody else hear news on this?
