The one I went to 20 years ago in Van Nuys went out of business in 2017.

I read somewhere that part of the reason there are not more brick or concrete homes out there is because the earthquake resistant construction codes require steel supports instead of wood.

Believe it or not, I have built a few steel structures with brick or concrete facade.
I am sure. But it adds a bunch to the cost of a traditional brick home if the bones behind the brick have to be steel.

I split my time between CA and VA.

LA and SF do not define CA nor the libtard wackos.

It's naturally the most beautiful state imo.

And Carmel by the Sea is the most unique charming city in the USA.

My mom's whole family is from California dating back to the 1800s. It is a lovely, beautiful, pleasant place to live outside of urban centers. I completely understand why the historically entrenched still try to hang on.

It is so unfortunate how leadership and taxes have ruined so much.

SD is still nice.

I wouldn't consider the area destroyed. Rather the biggest nuance to me is that the area is way overcrowded. Coronado is still very charming.
