Disagree. They only reason they donated it was new stuff was already there/coming. There are already orgs that take in old firefighting equipment and send to developing countries. This isn't something new.

I have talked to a forestry guy that says the Westlake area of Austin in ripe for a devastating fire if the conditions were right.

And communities in the US that don't have funds for new equipment. My parents community gets all of their fire/police and public safety equipment this way for crazy cheep.
