So i kept a timeline during one read through and found that only about 1 to 2 years passed from when those 5 country bumpkins left their small village until they were the 5 most powerful entities in that world.

I know it is petty but I wish they were doing better with casting matching eye/skin/hair. Jordan mentions Elaine's blue eyes a million times.

Just finished my second read-through of the series...14 books over 6 months. Very excited for the upcoming show. Next up I plan to read New Spring (prequel to the original series). I hope it is just as good!
That is impressive I am not sure I could read all the way a second time. There are several books later in the series that were a huge slog to to get through. If I recall Winters Heart was just painful to read. I cannot say it was that book specifically, but I do recall there was one book that is best described as 1000 pages describing the most boring single day in the life of everyone involved. It might have been a path if daggers since I do recall at the end of winters heart the pace of the series seemed to pick up again but only in the last chapter or so.USAF Ag 99 said:

Could she be Aviendha with that red hair? Like others have said, maybe a little early but they are going to have to depart from the books.

You monster. I have genuine hope since Witcher was pretty good and GoT can be blamed on a lack of source materials.
I'm taking the Lord of the Rings approach. Expect changes, but as long as they get the characters right and follow the general story, I'll be happy.
