But does it add to the stories? Maybe he is the steady rock and a good warrior and leader. I thought about this and could see a huge lessening. I didn't think the Bran treatment in GOT was great for his powers. I fear the wolf dream will be even harder to work with on TV. I bet they don't cut it, but I'd look into significant changes if I was writing the script.
I mean Matt is lucky and a great general. That is easy.
I just enjoy the speculation and discussion on what in, out , or maybe out.
The wolf dream, assuming they do it, will be interesting, considering how their communication is basically described as "showing", which could be hard to do, I think, in a way that's not cheesy or jarring.

I think it's much more likely they keep cutting side characters and storylines rather than cut out what defines one of the three ta'veren.
As far as Perrin communicating with wolves we as viewers will have to be like the other characters around him who can't see him doing these things but witness the results. Like always having him see scouts returning a few minutes before everyone else.
That's why I think they will keep Elyas to help explain to viewers what Perrin can actually do with wolves, eyesight, hearing and smell.

I consider Logain a big plot point early on because it drives home the idea behind the false dragons and stilling, plus the fact that he's the one that Nynaeve discovers healing stilling on.

Green Man is maybe the most obvious cut in the book.

Interesting. Maybe they beef up his intro and his actions prior to being stilled. He is an interesting character and I could see him doing more than the novels.Sarduakar said:

Logain is crucial to the overall narrative so I guess they're going right to the Black Tower with him as the Taim character. Rand as a student at the BT will be awful, although if each book is going to be 250ish minutes of screen time it's a pretty good indicator that anything with CGI, channeling or expensive effects attached has been cut or neutered.

Indeed.
The Asha'man would still be included, they should go into the origin of the taint and why they have to still Logain/false dragons. Just less screen time on the happenings/trainings of the black tower.

That's a good point, which begs the question: is banging your sister more or less socially acceptable than having 3 wives? Or does anyone care anymore?
And perhaps more importantly since none of these characters have been cast, do any of them bring anything to the table in a screen narrative aside from a love interest? Min has visions which is a fun plot device, Elayne can copy Ter'angreal including and very importantly Mat's, and Aviendha teaches Rand how to be an Aiel Clan Chief.
But do any of them matter in a few 50 minute episodes where you already have 3 female leads?
